Parts of the Flower (Dicot) Definitions

This is a classic Montessori material often called "Definitions in Stages." These definition cards match the pages in the "Parts of" the Dicot Flower book, but in this card format, the children get to mix and match. They can play with phrases as if they were puzzle pieces, all while rebuilding the definitions accurately. This is hands-on learning at its best.

You can use these alone, but we recommend adding on the Vocabulary Cards, Book, and 3-part Cards to make a complete set (no pictures are included in this packet) for build-a-book activities. To use alone, layout the name card for all terms, then match the definition to each term. Use the control card to check your work. When this has been mastered, add complexity by matching the name card, then the first half of the definition, and then the final half of the definition. Again, use the control card to check your own work.
