These Fruit 3-Part Reading Cards feature photos of the interior and exterior of actual fruit. This helps clarify the reason why each fruit is the type of fruit it is. For example, drupes are simple fruits (like peaches and coconuts) with stones that encapsulate a single seed.
Aligned with Science of Reading principles, these cards build reading fluency through repeated, self-correcting practice — strengthening orthographic mapping and vocabulary acquisition at the word level.
The 3-part format is designed for independent reading. Students lay out the photo card, read and match the word labels to the photo cards, and then use the control cards to check their own work.
- This packet features 12 photos in a 3-part format; 36 cards per packet.
- All cards are eco-laminated (food-grade) with rounded corners
- Sized for the child’s hand: Cards are approx. 3¾" x 4¼" (control), 3¾" x 3" (photo), 3¾" x 1¼" (word)
- The cards comes in a sturdy, clear reclosable bag for storage/easy swapping out
- Lesson plan included
