January Events
January is chock full of conferences, speaking engagements, and professional development. Here are a few highlights:
January 10: Montessori Schools of Massachusetts

Maitri Learning exhibited and Julia Volkman offered a workshop on Montessori & the Science of Reading: Where are the gaps? You can read more about this in our Pedagogy Blog post. Leena Wright won our raffle and quickly turned around and purchased a bunch of goodies from our website!
January 16: Quest Montessori, RI

Julia will be working with teachers as part of their ongoing literacy project for the year. This time we'll be focusing on the work cycle, choosing work, and lesson study from the language album.
January 21: Resurrection Episcopal Day School, NY

Julia is heading back to REDS to work with teachers and parents. They'll start off with a faculty workshop focusing on Julia's booklet Gentle Guidance: Tips and Tricks for Assistant Teachers in Early Childhood. They'll look to the book as a guide as they practice engaging students, redirecting them, and playing little games.
Later that night, they'll host a parent event where Julia will speak on Practical Parenting to Support the Brain.
