These World Landmark 3-Part Reading Cards feature actual photos of three landmarks from each of the six continents with permanent human habitation and one from Antarctica. Use these to spark vivid conversations about what makes a landmark a landmark. What natural and human-made structures do humans value? This is a great jumping off point to explore World Heritage Sites.
Aligned with Science of Reading principles, these cards build reading fluency through repeated, self-correcting practice — strengthening orthographic mapping and vocabulary acquisition at the word level.
The 3-part format is designed for independent reading. Students lay out the photo card, read and match the word labels to the photo cards, and then use the control cards to check their own work.
- This packet features 18 photos in a 3-part format; 54 cards in the packet.
- All cards are eco-laminated (food-grade) with rounded corners
- Sized for the child’s hand: Cards are approx. 3¾" x 4¼" (control), 3¾" x 3" (photo), 3¾" x 1¼" (word)
- The cards comes in a sturdy, clear reclosable bag for storage/easy swapping out
- Lesson plan included
