Primary aprons (ages 3 to 6) are approx. 17.75" L x 12.5" W
Elementary aprons (age 6 to 9) are approx. 22" L x 15.5" W
Hook/loop waists (like velcro but stronger) have rounded corners on the velcro so they don't poke sensitive fingers
Tie waists are long enough to tie in front for most children
Water-resistant aprons are made from OEKO TEX certified eco-laminated cotton (good for the environment and safe for everyone)
Neck elastic is soft and flexible to fit over heads and hairstyles of all sizes
Made in the USA, hand-crafted in our rural New England office.

Fabric Care

We have tossed all of our aprons and mats in the wash to see how they hold up. None were the worse for wear. Still, we recommend hand-wiping/washing and hanging to dry. But, if you're in a pinch, the washing machine will be just fine. Just be sure to firmly secure the velcro or it will get caught on everything!

A Note to Montessorians

Use this light tan sand/ivory color to color-code your activities. This light color goes with just about anything. Have an extra one on-hand for last minute activity assemblies.

A Note to Teachers

Choose hook & look waist (like velcro but stronger) for children who aren't ready to tie independently. Choose tie waist for children who are mastering or have mastered tying their shoes. This is great opportunity to practice tying.
