Level 2 includes 5 Packets of phonetic words that feature consonant blends.

Level 2 Packet A contains six different four-letter phonetic nouns with consonant blends (such as mask, desk, gift)
Level 2 Packet B contains six different four-letter phonetic nouns with with st blends (such as fist and vest)
Level 2 Packet C contains six different four-letter phonetic nouns with l blends (such as flag and plum)
Level 2 Packet D contains six different four-letter phonetic nouns with r blends (such as crab and frog)
Level 2 Packet E contains six different two syllable phonetic words (such as gumdrops and cactus)

If you're looking for the pink, blue, green series, Level 2 equals the blue series.

We recommend getting one blue 3-pocket pouch to organize and display your cards. You only need one pouch because you will rotate packet contents every week or so to keep the environment alive with interest; one-pouch but ever-changing cards inside it. How fun!

A Note to Montessorians

These cards work just like the phonetic object box but have a built-in control of error. After your initial phonetic object box lessons, branch into these phonetic 3-part cards to keep the reading going while empowering children to find and correct their own mistakes. No adult help needed!

A Note to Teachers

Get five cloth pouches to use this as a classroom pack with up to five children at the same time. Have students choose any blue pouch and independently read the words, match them to their photo, and find their own mistakes with the control card. Repeat until children have mastered all packets.

Add in a self-assessment measure by allowing students to choose the packet they work with each day (you might say, "Everyone choose one blue pouch that you haven't done before.").

Once students succeed with reading, extend the work by playing dictation games where one child reads the control cards to another child who writes down the word. They use the control card to check their spelling independently. We recommend using a white board or chalkboard so students can easily correct errors.

The description of phonetic level 2A set says it contains word that ends with sk but I saw "gift" in the picture. So is the description or the picture correct? What words are being used in the set?: You are correct, there is a typo in our description. Level 2a contains consonant blends, including sk and ft.
